Stable equivalence preserves representation type

چکیده

Given two finite dimensional algebras Λ and Γ, it is shown that Λ is of wild representation type if and only if Γ is of wild representation type provided that the stable categories of finite dimensional modules over Λ and Γ are equivalent. The proof uses generic modules. In fact, a stable equivalence induces a bijection between the isomorphism classes of generic modules over Λ and Γ, and the result follows from certain additional properties of this bijection. In the second part of this paper the Auslander–Reiten translation is extended to an operation on the category of all modules. It is shown that various finiteness conditions are preserved by this operation. Moreover, the Auslander–Reiten translation induces a homeomorphism between the set of non-projective and the set of non-injective points in the Ziegler spectrum. As a consequence one obtains that for an algebra of tame representation type every generic module remains fixed under the Auslander–Reiten translation. ON THE USE OF KULSHAMMER TYPE INVARIANTS IN REPRESENTATION THEORY

Since 2005 a new powerful invariant of an algebra has emerged using the earlier work of Horvath, Hethelyi, Kulshammer and Murray. The authors studied Morita invariance of a sequence of ideals of the center of a nite dimensional algebra over a eld of nite characteristic. It was shown that the sequence of ideals is actually a derived invariant, and most recently a slightly modied version o...

On a Lift of an Individual Stable Equivalence to a Standard Derived Equivalence for Representation-finite Selfinjective Algebras

We shall show that every stable equivalence (functor) between representation-finite selfinjective algebras not of type (D3m, s/3, 1) with m ≥ 2, 3 s lifts to a standard derived equivalence. This implies that all stable equivalences between these algebras are of Morita type.

Representation Type and Stable Equivalence of Morita Type for Finite Dimensional Algebras

In this note we show that two nite dimensional algebras have the same representation type if they are stably equivalent of Morita type. Stable equivalences of Morita type were introduced for blocks of group algebras by Brou e 2], see also 7]. The concept is motivated by a result of Rickard. In 9], he proved that any derived equivalence between nite dimensional self-injective algebras and ? indu...

Forgetting in Logic Programs under Strong Equivalence

In this paper, we propose a semantic forgetting for arbitrary logic programs (or propositional theories) under answer set semantics, called HT-forgetting. The HTforgetting preserves strong equivalence in the sense that strongly equivalent logic programs will remain strongly equivalent after forgetting the same set of atoms. The result of an HT-forgetting is always expressible by a logic program...

Knowledge Forgetting in Answer Set Programming

The ability of discarding or hiding irrelevant information has been recognized as an important feature for knowledge based systems, including answer set programming. The notion of strong equivalence in answer set programming plays an important role for different problems as it gives rise to a substitution principle and amounts to knowledge equivalence of logic programs. In this paper, we unifor...
